4th of July

Julio, Samuel and I spent the Fourth of July in Minnesota, celebrating with family and friends. We drove from Chicago to MN on Friday morning. After 7 hours in a car with a baby, we were glad to have the evening to relax and enjoy a bbq with family. We had lots of yummy food, spent time to chatting and catching up on what's been happening in everyone's life, plus we learned how to play the game "ladders." It was a great way to spend the 4th.

Saturday and Sunday were busy days of seeing other friends, getting Sam's 7th month portraits taken (they turned out awesome!), going to church, and out to eat. Julio and I even had a date night, thanks to mom and dad who babysat Samuel. I think it had been over a year since we'd been to a movie! We enjoyed our time and Sam enjoyed his time with grandpa and grandma.

Our time in MN always goes to quickly! Now we're back home and taking care of all of the last details for our upcoming mission trip to Colombia! We are so excited about how things are coming together and can't wait to be in Colombia! Please pray for us as there are still lots of details that need to come together.
