Michigan

This past Sunday we took a day trip to Michigan. It turned out to be a great day. The boys did great in the car, sleeping most of the time. We left really early on Sun. morning (after not getting much sleep the night before - Sam woke up at 3:30am with a bloody nose) and arrived at Harbert Community Church just in time for the service. Our friend, Erin, is doing her seminary internship at the church and has been an advocate for us and our ministry in Colombia. She spoke with the mission's committee and they agreed they'd love to have us come and share more about our future ministry. So, that's what we did. We spoke about 5 min. during the service and then connected with people during a refreshments time after the service. We were so impressed by the pastors and the congregation. They made us feel so welcomed. After the service the pastors hosted a lunch/bbq where we got to meet some of the other families, spend some time relaxing (nice to get out of the city), and take a walk down to the beach. It was a gorgeous day and we enjoyed every minute of it.
