Vacation in Minnesota

We finally took a trip to Minnesota that lasted longer than a weekend and it was wonderful! Still, the week went by quickly and while we got some rest we were not ready to jump back into life in Chicago. The week was a good combination of resting, spending time with family, visiting friends, and enjoying some quality couple time. Sam was in heaven - he had his grandparents and an entire backyard; plus lots of different toys to play with. Ben didn't know what was going on, but he was pretty content too. Julio and I enjoyed a night out walking around Como Lake, touring the house that my grandma lived in and my mom grew up in, and savored time to sit on the front porch swing and talk. We didn't get to see everyone we wanted to see, because a week just isn't long enough! Still, we enjoyed some great visits and time to reconnect with friends.
