Fall Fun

Oh how I love fall! And we've had such a nice one so far! It's actually been warm and sunny. The only nice thing about my commute to work is that I get to drive by a forest preserve and the trees are so beautiful with their changing leaves.

Some of the highlights so far have been:

1) A lemonade stand that Sam and his friend Amara sat up (with the help of Amara's mom and sister!) Sam was so excited to take his hard earned money and put it in the piggy bank :)


2) A trip to the pumpkin patch - Sam and Ben and I joined our friends the Camis for a trip to a nearby pumpkin patch. It was actually 80 degrees that day and we all roasted. Still Sam and his buddy Josiah had fun running around checking out the pumpkins, climbing on the train, and riding on the hay wagon.




3) Lake Geneva - We took a day trip to nearby Lake Geneva. It was a beautiful day and so great to be outside. We enjoyed visiting some friends who live in the area and serve a local church. During the church service we were able to share a little about our upcoming ministry in Colombia and have the church pray for us. We were also able to connect with other friends who attend the church and we hadn't seen in awhile. We were exhausted by the time we got home, but so thankful for a great visit.
