Sam's dedication

On Sunday we had the privilege of bringing Samuel before the church and having him dedicated. As parents, it is our responsibility and gift to raise Samuel to love and serve Jesus. Our deepest desire is that he would become a person who knows that he is fully accepted and loved by God, and desires to cultivate a relationship with Jesus. We pray that our lives set the example, but we know we cannot do it alone. That is why we are thankful for family, friends, and a church community that is committed to joining us on this journey.

It was a very special morning as Pastor Peter presented Samuel to the church, and had people come up to pray around us. My parents were there, as well as other friends who joined us for the special day. Samuel was the perfect gentleman, showing off his smile and happy nature. He looked adorable in his little sweater-vest outfit (we did have to tape his little shoes on as they kept falling off).

After the service we had a little lunch with our friends and family to celebrate the occasion. Samuel slept for part of it, but woke up long enough to play with his guests. We are truly blessed to have been given the gift of being parents (as exhausting as it may be) and to have such loving support from our families and friends.
