So, we did it. We spent the afternoon at
Babies R Us, registering for baby items. It was both fun and overwhelming. Julio's reaction as we walked into the store was: "This is an IKEA for babies!" (Translation - What is all this stuff and where do we begin to find what we need?) And it's true, there is just so much stuff, it's hard to know what is essential and what is not. We don't want to go overboard. Since we've never had a child before, we're just going off of what other parents have told us we will need. Luckily, I'd spent some time doing some research before our trip to the store, so I had my handy list and directed us where to go, while Julio had the privilege of using the laser gun to scan the items.

So, I think we registered for all the basics and then some fun stuff too (of course there had to be some soccer themed toys and blankets in the mix). After an hour and a half we were both wiped and ready to go home. We did have to make a quick stop and get a needed Starbucks pick me up (aka Strawberries and Creme Frappucino). All in all, it was an enjoyable afternoon and made us even more excited for Baby Isaza's arrival in a couple of months.
